Galveston's Path to Progress
My Priorities for Galveston
Galveston deserves dependable services and a city government that facilitates growth, not complicates it. These priorities focus on keeping essential services reliable, managing taxpayer dollars responsibly, and creating opportunities for every resident.
Together, we can ensure our island thrives today and for the future.
1
Youth & Education Partnerships
Every parent I know wants the same thing — to see their kids safe, confident, and on a path to a successful and happy future.
Strong families depend on strong opportunities, and that begins with what we make available to our young people.
The City of Galveston doesn’t run the schools, but we can do a lot to support them. When the city, our schools, and local employers work together, doors open — and the benefits ripple across every neighborhood.
2
Affordability & Family-Friendly Growth
Galveston is a place people fall in love with — for its history, its beauty, and the sense of community that makes this island feel like home.
But for too many families, living here is getting harder. Housing costs keep climbing. Infrastructure is aging. And while tourism and development continue to grow, a lot of residents feel squeezed instead of supported.
I believe a city can grow without losing its soul — but it takes leadership that plans for people, not just profits.
3
Public Safety
Every parent deserves to know their kids can walk to school or play outside without fear. Every business owner deserves to open their doors each morning with confidence. And every first responder — from firefighters to police officers to EMTs — deserves to know their city has their back.
Safety isn’t just another issue — it’s the foundation of everything else we want to build as a community. Without it, families move away, businesses struggle, and neighborhoods lose their sense of belonging.
With it, everything becomes possible.
4
Honest, Compassionate Leadership
City government works best when people believe in it — when they feel heard, respected, and confident their tax dollars are being spent wisely.
Too often, politics gets in the way of progress. Decisions get made for headlines, not households. What Galveston needs now is leadership that listens first, tells the truth, and puts people ahead of politics.
I’m not running for Mayor to make noise or point fingers. I’m running because I believe City Hall should work for the people who live here — with honesty, fairness, and a sense of purpose that’s bigger than any one person.
5
A Strong Port, A Strong Galveston
The Port of Galveston is more than a dock or a destination — it’s the heartbeat of our island economy. From tourism and shipping to ship repair and manufacturing, the port supports thousands of local jobs and connects Galveston to the world.
As new opportunities emerge — especially with the arrival of Davie Shipbuilding — we’re entering a turning point for Galveston’s future. The choices we make now will shape our economy for decades and decide whether the port’s success truly lifts the whole community, not just a few.
When the Port grows, Galveston grows — and we have a responsibility to make sure that growth works for everyone.
